1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BudgetNest ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BudgetNest is a personal finance management tool that allows you to track income, expenses, debts, net worth, and sinking funds. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a 14-day free trial.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. Free Trial & Subscriptions

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial ends, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.

  • Monthly plan: $7.99/month, billed monthly
  • Yearly plan: $70/year, billed annually (save 27%)

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

5. Refunds

Since we offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, we generally do not offer refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@budgetnest.io within 7 days of the charge and we will review your case.

6. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into BudgetNest. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You can export or delete your data at any time.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

8. Limitation of Liability

BudgetNest is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide financial, investment, or tax advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes via email.
