What is BudgetNest?

BudgetNest is a personal finance app that helps you track income, expenses, debt, net worth, and sinking funds — all in one dashboard. Your data syncs across devices and is always backed up to the cloud.

How does the free trial work?

When you sign up, you get 14 days of full access to all Pro features — no credit card required. When your trial ends, you can choose a monthly ($7.99/mo) or yearly ($70/yr) plan to continue.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No. Your free trial starts immediately when you create an account. No payment information is needed until you decide to subscribe after the trial.

What happens when my trial ends?

After 14 days, you'll be prompted to choose a paid plan to continue using BudgetNest. Your data is never deleted — it will be waiting for you when you subscribe.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. If you cancel, you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. No hidden fees, no questions asked.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security, meaning only you can access your data. We never sell or share your personal information.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly plans?

Yes. You can switch plans anytime through the Stripe billing portal accessible from your account page. When switching to yearly, you'll receive prorated credit for your remaining monthly period.

What currencies are supported?

BudgetNest supports 8 currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR, and BRL. You can change your currency at any time in the dashboard settings.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your budget data as CSV (for spreadsheets) or generate PDF reports. Export options are available in the dashboard.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@budgetnest.io. We will delete all your personal data within 30 days of your request, in compliance with GDPR and applicable privacy laws.

Do you offer refunds?

Since we offer a free 14-day trial with no credit card required, we generally do not offer refunds. However, if you believe you were charged in error, please contact support@budgetnest.io and we'll work it out.
